The formula
Square feet = Length ft × Width ft × Quantity
Example: A 12 ft × 14 ft room = 168 ft². Two of them = 336 ft².

144 square feet (12 × 12), which is 16 square yards. A 10 × 10 room is 100 ft², a 12 × 14 room is 168 ft² and a 20 × 20 garage is 400 ft².
How do I measure when the room is in feet and inches?
Convert the inches to a decimal of a foot by dividing by 12, then multiply as usual. For example, 10 ft 6 in × 12 ft 3 in is 10.5 × 12.25 = 128.6 ft².
How do I find the square footage of a triangle or a circle?
A triangle is ½ × base × height. A circle is 3.1416 × radius × radius, where the radius is half the distance across. A 10 ft wide circle is 3.1416 × 5 × 5 = 78.5 ft².
How do I convert square feet to square yards or acres?
Divide square feet by 9 for square yards, and by 43,560 for acres. For example, 5,000 ft² is 555.6 square yards, or 0.115 acres.
